This week's news

Just saw two pieces of news this week

The first being that Crags Sports Centre has found someone to use it and that it will be a Basketball Centre working in partnership with Blaze, Edinvar Housing Association and the community.  You can read more about it here

New Street gap site
And that former owner Ronald Persaud in talks to buy the "Caltongate" site from Deloitte, Persuad sold the site to Mountgrange but that went burst, this only includes the land that Mountgrange formerly owned and not the council buildings - Canongate Venture, the market building, arches on East Market St.  However there has been much specualtion about developers buying this land, the last lot Prism fell through.  Won't be holding our breath to see if Persuad goes ahead with this.
